Vadodara, July 05: A group of advocates here today demanded initiation of contempt of court proceedings against the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and its members for their comments on the judgement in the Best Bakery case in which all the 21 accused were released. "The members of NHRC have attacked the dignity and honour of the court which is an act to interfere and obstruct justice," the 60 advocates said in a petition filed in the fast track court here, which gave the judgement. All the accused in the case were arrested on the charge of killing 12 people in the bakery premises on March 1, 2002 in the aftermath of Godhra train carnage in Gujarat. Bureau Report
