NSA invoked against three for Tajopur clash
Mau Aug 16: National Security Act (NSA) has been invoked on three accused in the Tajopur caste clash which had left 52 Dalits injured on Wednesday last, police said today.

All the three accused have already been arrested and lodged in Mau Jail, the superintendent of police, Piyush Modia told reporters here.
The situation in Tajopur, under Sarai Lakhansi Police Station area was fast returning to normal, the SP said adding that security personnel including PAC were deployed in the village to monitor law and order.
FIR in this connection was registered against 40 members of the Thakur community and efforts were on to arrest them, he added. Trouble sparked off on Wednesday when scores of Thakurs along with tractors reached the village and tried to forcibly till the disputed land and resorted to firing when members of the Dalit community offered resistance.
