Mumbai, June 30: A special court today remanded 1993 bomb blast accused Mustaffa Majnu to judicial custody till July two and reserved until then its ruling on CBI's plea to include him in the ongoing trial. Majnu was produced amidst tight security before designated judge P D Kode who placed him in judicial remand. Brother of absconding accused Mohammed Dossa, Majnu, was deported on March 20 from Dubai. However, a legal issue has cropped up as his name does not figure in the list of accused or absconding accused. His involvement figured in confession of co-accused, according to CBI. Majnu has challenged CBI's move to include him in the trial, saying he was not involved in the bomb blast conspiracy.

CBI filed supplementary chargesheet against Majnu on May three. The investigating agency alleged that he was deeply involved in the conspiracy and had attended a meeting in Dubai at the house of main conspirator Dawood Ibrahim.
In February 1993 some accused went to Pakistan via Dubai for arms training and stayed with Majnu in the Gulf. He also took them to Dawood Ibrahim, CBI alleged.

Majnu is also charged with making travel arrangements for departure of co-accused Ahmed Lambu, Sayyed Qureshi, Yusuf Batka, Abu Baker and Shoeb Baba to Pakistan for arms training.

His involvement came to light during probe in 1995 but he was not traceable. Later, the court issued arrest warrant and proclamation order against him.
