J&K: Project to promote handicrafts in Baramulla district
Srinagar, Dec 02: To promote handicraft industry in Jammu and Kashmir, a Rs 3.40 crore project under the Swarn Gram Swarozgar Yojna (SGSY) is being implemented in the border district of Baramulla.

Gram Swarozgar Yojna (SGSY) is being implemented in the
border district of Baramulla.
Under the project, 14 handicraft production centres and
five sale outlets were being set up, official sources here
said.
Under another project of SGSY, Rs 83 lakh subsidy will be given and a credit facility of Rs 4.03 crore mobilised from various financial institutions.
The project is assisting 280 self help groups and 685 individuals for setting up income generating units in Baramulla district. Bureau Report
