Amritsar, Aug 22: Manmohan Singh Brar today took over as chairman of the Sikh Gurudwara Judicial
Commission (SGJC) followings orders from the Punjab and Haryana High Court given on August 14.
Brar who assumed office along with two members, Amrik Singh Randhawa and Ajwant Singh Mann told reporters that they were displeased with the district administration's attitude towards them.
The new SGJC chief claimed that the district administration was creating hurdles in the implementation of the orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Brar also said it appeared that the district administration wanted to favour his predecessor Kashmir Singh Patti to enable him to get a stay on the orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
