Itanagar, July 29: The Raj Bhavan in Arunachal Pradesh has taken the centrestage in the state's political crisis with a hectic manouevering and horse trading on under the shadow of NSCN(I-M). Both the newly formed United Democratic Front(UDF) and the Congress are claiming majority.
Chief minister Mukut Mithi blamed the NSCN(I-M) and the NDA, besides money, as the main cause of defection, but the 42 MLAs, while parading in front of governor V C Pandey, said they had left Mithi because of his ''corruption''.
Mithi, however, accused the BJP of playing into the hands of NSCN(I-M) while in search of the Naga peace. Mithi alleged that money was pouring in to lure the legislators.

Pandey, meanwhile, has sought comment from Mithi on the crisis. The chief minister is bidding for more time citing technical problems on the whole defection issue and is not in a hurry to reply to the governor's letter seeking comment.
Mithi told newsmen that the governor had sought his comment on the 23 ministers who had resigned and not about the UDF staking claim.
The chief minister has actually accepted and forwarded only one resignation, government spokesman Takam Sanjay said.
The governor is, however, expected to take a decision later today and most likely an emergency session of the assembly will be convened to sort out the issue. Bureau Report
