Pak proposal for UN involvement `meaningless`: Fernandes
New Delhi, Oct 29: Rejecting Pakistan`s rider for a UN role in the proposed bus service between Muzzafarabad (PoK) and Srinagar, Defence Minister George Fernandes today described it as a `meaningless` proposal.

"What is the UN going to do on the roads which are meant
for the common people. What have they (UN) got to do there.
It is meaningless", he told mediapersons.
Besides, wanting UN officials to man and control the check-points on the Line of Control, Islamabad has also said that people travelling on such a bus service should carry UN documents.
