Samata Party member Prabhunath Singh was on Thursday asked by the Lok Sabha Speaker to leave the House for disrupting proceedings over the Tehelka issue.
Speaker G M C Balayogi ordered this when Singh disrupted the Question Hour and refused to return to his seat. After repeated requests, the Speaker told Singh, "If you want to raise the issue during the Zero Hour stay, or else leave the House."
Singh wanted an immediate discussion on fresh newspaper revelations on a sting operation carried out by Internet portal Tehelka. But Speaker Balayogi repeatedly reminded him of the House rules that allowed him to raise the issue during Zero Hour. When Singh refused to listen he was asked to leave the House. Singh walked out, indicating that he would return at Zero Hour to raise the issue. Bureau Report
