Hungary, Aug 23: Ferrari boss Ross Brawn said his team have to halt Juan Pablo Montoya's charge which has seen him close to just six points behind Michael Schumacher in the world championship. Brawn, Ferrari's technical director, said it was critical that Ferrari check the Colombian's momentum as soon as possible.

Brawn added that McLaren driver Kimi Raikkonen was not out of the title race even though he has fallen to nine points behind Schumacher. "Kimi has stalled a little bit, but you can see little flashes of how quick he could be if he put a race together," Brawn said.
Brawn believes Schumacher's experience could be decisive in a battle that could well go down to the final race of the season in Japan in October.
Brawn said he still believed in the fundamental quality of Ferrari's car, but hinted that the team realised they were struggling with their Bridgestone tyres.

Williams and McLaren use the rival Michelins, which are regarded as having an advantage at the moment.
