Mumbai, May 30: The medical tests conducted on CISF jawan R Namdeo, who shot his deputy commandant and held six persons hostage on Saturday night, have revealed that he was normal, police sources said here today. Namdeo, who was subjected to a number of medical tests to ascertain his physical and mental health, has been found to be fit and normal, a senior police official said today.
“We were planning to send him for more tests. However, since these reports have confirmed that he was normal, we have decided not to send him for any more tests,” he said. Namdeo had shot dead his senior a Karanjkar and held six of his colleagues hostage in the security hold area of Sahar terminal of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport last Saturday. Though Namdeo had earlier claimed he had killed his senior for refusing to sanction his leave, police said he had never applied for leave and had on earlier occasions availed of 20 days leave. Police dubbed the killing a cold-blooded murder, which had been planned and meticulously executed. Bureau Report
