Several parts of HP, Punjab, Haryana receive rain
Chandigarh, Aug 06: Several parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana received good rains today with Faridabad recording a heavy downpour of 50 mm.

Jind (11 mm), Siwani (3 mm), Loharu (1 mm), Safidon (4 mm), Julana (2 mm), Gauranda (3 mm), Panipat (2 mm), Sonipat (36 mm), Israna (9 mm), Gohana (6 mm), Gannaur (4 mm), Kalka (10 mm) and Jhajjar (4 mm) were among other places in Haryana to receive rain till early this morning, the met office said.
Hisar and Ambala also received some light showers.
A report from Sonipat said normal life in the town was thrown out of gear following the downpour and several low-lying areas, including several residential colonies, were submerged.
Parts of Chandigarh received light drizzle this afternoon and the sky remained partially overcast.
Shimla (1 mm), Bhuntar (56 mm), Pandoh (10 mm), Rampur (15 .4 mm), Sujanpur Tera (42 mm) and Nadaun (1 mm) in Himachal Pradesh received rains.

catchmen areas of Nangal Dam (13 mm), Ranjit Sagar Dam (5.2
