A suspected militant was killed in an encounter with police at Govinda village area in Manipur's Bishenpur district on Thursday, police sources said. Acting on a tip-off, a police party rushed to the spot in Govinda village where some underground militants fired at them. Police retaliated, killing one of them while the others escaped, the sources said.
