Jammu, Dec 30: In a pre-dawn offensive, Army troops today shot dead three Pakistani militants belonging to Lashker-e-Toiba in the Chingus forest belt of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said. Acting on a tip-off by the intelligence agencies, Army personnel launched a pre-dawn operation in the Chingus forest belt to track down the militants, the sources said.
Confronted by the troops, militants opened fire and lobbed grenades at the Army men, they said, adding three LeT militants were killed in the retaliatory fire.
The militants were identified Abu Asrar, Abu Talah and Abu Sigir hailing from Pakistan, the sources said.
Three AK rifles, four grenades, seven magazines, two IEDs, one radio set and one UBGL launcher was recovered from the spot, they said. Bureau Report
