Kolkata, Apr 22: The Sourav Ganguly-led Indian cricket team today returned home after finishing joint winners of the TVS Cup triangular one-day series in Dhaka. The Indian players, along with coach John Wright, arrived at the N S C Bose International Airport in a Bangladesh Biman flight from Dhaka at around 10:25 am.

The Indians had to share the trophy with South Africa as the final was abandoned due to rains, both on Sunday and on the reserve day yesterday. Skipper Ganguly refused to answer queries from waiting newspersons saying he had nothing to say.

"What can I say? The final wasn`t even played," Ganguly, who hugged little daughter Sana after meeting his family members, said. Ganguly`s wife Dona and father Chandi Ganguly were among the family members who came to the airport to receive him. A handful of cheering fans were also present at the airport.

The Indian captain, accompanied by teenage stumper Parthiv Patel, vice-captain Virender Sehwag and middle-order batsman Mohammad Kaif later left for Siliguri to attend a felicitation programme. Wright and other members of the squad were taken in a bus to the airport hotel. Wright is scheduled to hold an informal meeting with BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya later in the day.

Other members of the squad were supposed to leave for their respective destinations later.
