Kolkata, Sept 20: Close on the heels of the Rajdhani train derailment in Bihar, six coaches of a New Sealdah-bound express train jumped tracks at a station in Murshidabad district in West Bengal late last night.
No casualties was reported in the accident to the Teesta-Torsha express that was moving at slow speed, Eastern Railway pro Ashok Ganguly told reporters here.
The accident occurred at 11.45 pm when the ill-fated train coming from New Jalpaiguri was crossing the tracks on a loop line at the Mahipal road station in the Azimganj section of Eastern Railway where the Kamrup Express was halting for it to pass.
Besides an air conditioned coach, three sleeper and two general compartments derailed.

An accident-relief train and a special train with a 50-member medical team, including eight doctors were despatched from Malda town to the accident site.
The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Malda and the ADRM also rushed to the site.
The high speed Delhi bound Rajdhani train from Kolkata derailed over a river bridge near Rafiganj station on September nine in Aurangabad district in Bihar killing nearly 130 people.
The accident involving all but two and engine of the 18 bogey train triggered an intensive controversy over the condition of rail bridges and tracks.
Former railway minister Mamata Banerjee said here prima facie "weak tracks" appear to be responsible for the derailment.
