CIA chief George Tenet has discussed the latest situation in Afghanistan with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, officials here said on Sunday.

Saturday's meeting, also attended by top ISI and military generals, comes close on the heels of Musharraf's telephonic talks with US President George Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell this week, they said.
Tenet's visit coincided with the US forces stepping up their cave to cave search in southern Afghanistan to nab Osama Bin Laden an his al-Qaeda terrorists.
The Central Intelligence Agency chief is reported to have met several CIA contacts in Peshawar, close to Afghanistan border. He also held separate meetings with ISI officials to exchange information about Bin Laden's hideouts.
US officials have said that Tenet is also scheduled to visit India and Uzbekistan. Bureau Report
