Meerut (UP), June 24: BJP leader Kalraj Mishra has ruled out the possibility that assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh would be held along with general elections next year. Talking to reporters here yesterday, Mishra said that the BSP-BJP coalition government in the state enjoyed the support of 212 legislators even after the withdrawal of support by Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and it would complete its full term.
Mishra, who is BJP's in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, lashed out at opposition parties for demanding dismissal of the Mayawati government without submitting a list of their supporters to the governor.

He also accused RLD leader and former agriculture minister Ajit Singh of "doing nothing" to get fair price of sugarcane for farmers even though he was the member of a high-level committee set up for the purpose by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

He dismissed as "baseless" allegations by former chief minister Kalyan Singh that Vajpayee, deputy prime minister L K Advani and the RSS had instigated 'karsevaks' to destroy the Babri Masjid in 1992.
