New Delhi, May 30: Feeling that Muslims were at the "receiving end" in the country, an umbrella organisation of the minority community today sought reservation in education and employment even as it attacked the Sangh Parivar and displayed lack of faith in the Vajpayee government. Just a day ahead of convening a two-day convention here to discuss "crucial issues before the nation", All India Milli Council (AIMC) also declared that the Justice Nanavati Commission probing Gujarat riots was "biased" and it would not accept its report. "Muslims are at a receiving end in the country. A systematic hate campaign is going on against Muslim institutions like madrassas," AIMC spokesman Kamal Faruqui told reporters. Asserting that Muslims were not divisive as was "perceived", he said "unless a mindset against us is changed, a dissatisfied lot will affect development of the country." He also favoured an inter-community dialogue to clear "misunderstandings" on the lines of the one initiated by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee with Pakistan. Bureau Report
