New Delhi, May 19: Girls have outscored boys in the class X and XII examinations conducted by the council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations results for which were declared here today. While the pass percentage of girls for class X (ICSE) stood at 95.32 per cent as against 93.02 pass percentage for boys, the pass percentage of girls for class XII (ISC) was 95.87 per cent as against 91.21 per cent, an officials release said. As many as 78,072 students appeared for ICSE while 34,619 candidates took ISC exams which recorded 94.1 per cent and 93.18 pass percentage respectively, the release said. For the first time, the council made arrangements to avail the results from various means including short messaging service (SMS), the release added. Bureau Report
