Rajasthan asks Centre to repatriate Pakistani boy
Jaipur, Aug 06: Rajasthan government has asked the Centre to arrange for repatriation of a 13-year-old Pakistani boy who strayed into Indian territory crossing border along Ganganagar district in June this year.
Jaipur, Aug 06: Rajasthan government has asked the Centre to arrange for repatriation of a 13-year-old Pakistani boy who strayed into Indian territory crossing border along Ganganagar district in June this year.
Muneer, who inadvertently strayed into Indian territory, was taken into custody on June 26 by a BSF patrol party which handed him over to the state police. He is currently being kept in a children's home in Bikaner.
The state government has written a letter to the external affairs ministry for repatriation of Muneer, principle secretary, home, Dharm Singh Sagar, told reporters here yesterday.
The Union ministry would contact Pakistan's high commission delhi for arranging Muneer's repatriation, Sagar said.
