Jammu, Aug 06: Night curfew in Kishtwar town of Doda district would continue till complete normalcy was resotred, official sources said today.
"Night curfew will continue as a precautionary measure in the town till complete normalcy prevails there," additional deputy commissioner Doda R K Bhagat told on phone here. No untoward incident was reported after the day curfew was lifted in the town since yesterday, he said. Police and para-military troops would however, continue to be deployed in the town. Curfew was clamped in the town on august one after communal clashes in which 13 people were injured, seven shops and other structures were burnt and twelve shops were looted.
Meanwhile, the Power Development Minister Mohammad Sharief along with Deputy Commissioner, Doda Mehboob Iqbal today visited the town to take stock of the situation, official sources said here.
