Islamabad, Aug 06: One Pakistani Frontier Constabulatory (PFC) personnel was killed and four others injured in an attack by unidentified militants on their check-post on the Sindh-Baluchistan border, official sources said today. Rockets and hand grenades were used in the attack killing the Pakistani soldier and injuring four last night, it said adding PFC personnel retaliated and the ensuing encounter lasted for an hour. However the assailants managed to flee. Those injured were shifted to hospital while the body of the deceased was sent to his home town. This was the second such attack in the area in which personnel of law enforcement agencies were targeted. Earlier, outlaws had attacked rangers near, using rocket launchers and hand grenades.
There are reports that outlaws, belonging to Baluchistan and a majority of them Bugti Tribesmen, are mounting a resistance against the presence of the PFC and rangers in the area.
