Washington: 'Lethal Weapon' actress Mary Ellen Trainor has passed away. She was 62.

The American star was battling pancreatic cancer, and took her last breath at her home in Montecito, California last month, TMZ.com has reported.


Trainor, who famously played psychologist Dr. Stephanie Wood in the 1987 Mel Gibson starrer flick, was also known for her role in 'The Goonies,' and had a recurring role on the TV show 'Roswell.'


She was married to director Robert Zemeckis for 20 years and had a son named Alexander with him, before they parted ways in 2000.


Trainor had starred in many of Zemeckis' films including 'Romancing the Stone' and Tom Hanks starrer 'Forrest Gump.'
