New Delhi, Oct 01: Koshika Telecom has offered to give 100 per cent revenue earned from its Uttar Pradesh (East) cellular circle to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for adjustment of dues in a bid to revive its licence which has been cancelled. DoT on Monday cancelled Koshika's licence as the company had failed to pay the dues amounting to about Rs 100 crore towards licence fee and other arears, DoT officials said here.

When contacted, Vinay Rai, Chairman of Usha Group, said: "The board of directors met today (Tuesday) and decided that the entire revenue collected by the circle which is approximately Rs 4.5-5 crore would be given to DoT for adjustment of dues."


Cancellation of licence, he said, would put in jeopardy the jobs of 300 people and result in disclocation of about 50,000 subscribers in the circle.
The promoters have agreed that the running expenses of the circle will be taken care of by them till the final outcome of the arbitration, Rai said. Bureau Report
