New Delhi, Mar 13: A Delhi court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against two directors of NEC Engineers Private Limited, facing charges under the customs act for exporting sensitive materials to Iraq in violation of Exim policy guidelines. Additional chief metropolitan magistrate V K Maheshwari issued the warrants returnable for April 10 against accused Hans Raj Shiv and Siddharth Hans. Meanwhile, the court granted two-days interim bail to Anand Gupta, director of Delhi-based Pharaohs International accused of colluding with NEC to export the prohibited materials - on a personal bond of Rs two lakh and surety of a like amount. Granting the interim bail, the court reserved its final order on the bail application for March 15 as the arguments on the same remained incomplete. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence had chargesheeted NEC and six of its officials following allegations that they aided Iraq's weapons programme by supplying sensitive and prohibited materials to that country.

Charging them under various provisions of Customs Act, it said the officials were involved in facilitating visit of technical personnel to Iraq for assessment and installation of exported goods, though in the course of export destinations of such goods were declared as Dubai or Jordan.
