Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, who is the current face of the brand, was first to get a notice for claims made about the nutritional value of Maggi in the advertisement. Now, reports are that megastar Amitabh Bachchan too may face legal complications because of the same.

The actor however has clarified his stance and said that he has not received any notice from the court as yet. He had earlier mentioned that his contract with Nestle was over two years ago and he has not been the face of the popular snack since then.

Preity Zinta who had endorsed the product 12 years ago had also expressed her disbelief when she received the news that a case was filed against her.

A case was filed against Nestle India in a local court in Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh by food regulator FSDA (Food Safety and Drug Administration), after they found monosodium glutamate and lead in excess of the prescribed limit in Maggi samples they tested.

The two minute noodles has been taken off the shelves by major shopping chains across India, and investigation is currently under place.
