Tehran, July 26: An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale shook Iran's Qazvin region, northwest of Tehran, where 245 people were killed and 1,000 hurt in a quake last month, the state news agency Iran reported today.
There was no indication of any casualties or damage from the latest tremor, which occurred late yesterday.
Iran is one of the most earthquake-prone countries in the world.
