Chennai,Dec 07: Tamil Nadu Governor, P S Ramamohan Rao, today inaugurated the armed forces Flag Day collection drive at Raj Bhavan by making the first contribution. Chennai district collector, A Abdul Salam, received the contribution from the Governor. Similarly, chief minister, Jayalalithaa, also made her contribution by putting money in the box, carried by Abdul Salam.
Later, in a message, she appealed to the people to contribute generously towards Flag Day collections.
