Srinagar, Sept 20: Pakistani troops today shelled forward Indian positions and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Karnah sector of Kupwara district in north Kashmir, official sources said. The shelling from across the border started around 10.45 am in the area and tad village was the worst hit where the residents abandoned their houses and shifted to underground bunkers, sources said, adding Indian troops retaliated.
However, there was no immediate report of any casualty or damage in the shelling, which was still continuing from both sides, they added.
