Pak management backs Inzamam, Shoaib

Centurion, Feb 27: Inzamam-ul Haq and Shoaib Akhtar have received a vote of support from their team even though they have failed to make much impact in the World Cup so far.
Inzamam, the lynchpin of Pakistan batting, has just 10 runs from four innings including two successive noughts in Pakistan's abysmal campaign in the World Cup so far.
Shoaib bowled the fastest ball in modern cricket history against England but picked just one wicket at the cost of 63 runs, and generally has lacked the sting.
But the team management has thrown its full weight behind the two star cricketers.
"Inzamam is too great a batsman to be discarded for the match (against India)," said team manager Shahrayar Khan. "He is going through a tough time but we are confident he will be back to his best sooner than later," he added. About Shoaib, Khan said, “ He is a match-winner and he is slowly hitting his stride. We will need him against India."
