Hyderabad, Dec 31: The recent derailment of Bangalore Express, in which 20 passengers were killed and 87 injured, was an act of "sabotage", Andhra Pradesh State Director General of Police P Ramulu said today.

Ramulu told reporters here it was clearly established during investigation by CID that it was an act of sabotage.
But it is yet to be ascertained "who perpetrated the heinous act," he said adding that investigation was not yet over. "We are trying to identify the persons, who indulged in the act."

Nine bogies of Bangalore bound Kachiguda-Bangalore Express had derailed near Ramalingayapalli in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on December 21.
