New Delhi: Bollywood's veteran music director Ravindra Jain passed away in Mumbai following ill-health at the age of 71.

The talented music composer was admitted to Lilavati Hospital as he was suffering from urinary infection causing problems to his kidneys, reports suggest.


Reports further suggest that Ravindra was shifted from Wockhardt Hospital in Nagpur to Lilavati in Mumbai by a chartered air ambulance.


Reportedly, Jain travelled to Nagpur for a concert on Sunday but could not continue with his performance due to bad health.


The extremely talented music composer is popular for his work in films like 'Chor Machaye Shor', 'Geet Gaata Chal', 'Chitchor' and 'Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se'.


His hit songs include 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili', 'Do Jasoos', and 'Heena'.
