New Delhi: Bollywood's one of the most intense and talented senior actor Nana Patekar is known for extending his helping hand to various social causes. Be it raising funds for the drought-hit Maharashtra farmers or helping the widows of those farmers who committed suicide—the man has never shied away from making his point and working relentlessly for the cause.

Nana, who recently visited Jammu and met the BSF security personnel praised how soldiers are constantly on guard and protect us without thinking about their own self. ANI quoted him as saying: “How can I increase the determination of our soldiers; the inspire me instead. Very happy to meet them.”



“Na Eid hai na Holi ya Diwali, they are still so happy. They don't even want holidays: Nana Patekar said after meeting security personnel in Jammu.”



Urging the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to study, he added, “Bachon padh lo,mainstream mein aajao; isese kuch nhi hoga. Desh ko apna samajh lo pir sab cheezein asaan hongi.”



Nana even met the bereaved family members of jawan Gurnam Singh, who lost his life while foiling an infiltration bid in Kathua sector of Jammu and Kashmir.



Talking about PM Narendra Modi's recent big demonetisation move, the Bollywood veteran hailed the decision and was quoted as saying: “Very good step taken by the Govt; we can bear a little inconvenience for the nation.”



“Itne saal se itna kuch sahaa hai humne, yeh 10-20 din ki takleef nahi seh sakte?”, he added.
