Miss Ireland wins Miss World 2003 title
Mumbai, Dec 07: Miss Ireland Rosanna Davison was today crowned Miss World 2003 at Sanya in China, while Miss India Ami Vashi, who had made it to the final five, lost out in the last round of the international beauty pageant held for the first time in the Communist country.

Vashi was unable to complete her answer as she ran out of time.
Miss Canada Nazanin Afshin-Jam and Miss China Qi Guan were adjudged the first and second runners-up respectively. Watched by millions around the world, Miss Ireland floored the panel of nine judges by her winning answer to how she would describe her life and character, saying she was a warm, fun-loving and caring person who believed in integrity, honesty and loyalty.
