Militants attack PDP leader`s house; four killed in J-K
Srinagar, Dec 01: Militants today made an abortive bid on the life of a PDP leader attacking his house in Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir where two militants and a teenaged girl were among four persons killed in separate incidents.

A group of militants fired on the house of PDP leader Mohammad Kamal Malik at Soibug village this morning, official sources said adding that his guards retaliated following which the ultras fled.
No one was injured in the shootout, which took place when Malik was present in the house along with his family.
Elsewhere, a militant was killed in an encounter with security forces at Dareshpora in Kupwara district while another ultra identified as Abdul Latief Magray was shot dead in a gunfight in Mahu Mangat forest of Doda district.
Fifteen-year old Naseema, a class nine student, was killed in cross firing between militants and security forces in Kulgam area of Anantnag district last night in which one security personnel was also injured.
The girl's killing sparked off protests in the village with locals alleging that she was shot dead by security personnel without any provocation.
Militants shot dead an auto-driver Basharat Ahmad, a former member of al-Jehad outfit, in downtown Srinagar late last night, the sources said.
A Hizbul Mujahideen militant surrendered to security forces and laid down one AK rifle, four magazines, 90 rounds and two hand grenades at Budhal in Rajouri district.
