Johannesburg, Feb 09: The suspense over whether England cricket team would play their World Cup match in Zimbabwe continued today with the players deciding to postpone their decision by a day in the backdrop of disclosures that their cricket board had received hoax death threats for them last month. Nasser Hussain`s men were to make an announcement on their decision today after their plea to shift their match against Zimbabwe in Harare on February 13 was rejected by the World Cup Organising Committee and a South African judge last week. But the players failed to arrive at a decision saying they were still in discussion with security experts after receiving fresh information on the volatile situation in Zimbabwe.
The players` postponing the decision was preceded by England and Wales Cricket Board Chief Executive Tim Lamb admitting that he had received a letter carrying death threats to the England team but which, he said, had turned out to be a hoax.
