British Prime Minister Tony Blair on Monday warned against speculation over the cause of the crash of a US commercial jet moments earlier in New York. “I don't think it is sensible, certainly for us on the basis of the information we have, to speculate any further,” he told a news conference in London following his talks with Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. According to the US Federal Aviation administration, the plane was an airbus A300 that was en route from New York to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Speculation on the cause of the crash was high in light of the terror attacks of September 11, when four planes were hijacked and three were flown into New York's World Trade Center and the Pentagon outside Washington.
