Maharashtra govt announces compensation
Mumbai, Aug 25: Maharashtra government has announced a compensation of Rs two lakh each to the kin of those killed in today`s twin bomb blast in Mumbai.

The government also announced Rs 50,000 to those seriously injured in the blasts, official sources said here.
Earlier, Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde summoned a high level meeting at Varsha, his official residence to discuss security measures.
He also invited Leader of Opposition in state assembly Narayan Rane and Leader of Opposition in state council Nitin Gadkari to the meeting.
Shinde and deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal also visited J J Hospital, St George Hospital and G T Hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured admitted there.
Forty six people, including five women and a child were killed and over 143 injured, when twin car bombs exploded in quick succession.
