Brasilia, Apr 20: At least 11 people were killed and 14 injured in a ferry sinking near Papagayo Island, about 200 km east of Rio De Janeiro, tourism officials said today. Most of the victims were tourists from the Sao Paulo region, according to local tourism official Carlos Victor Mendes. The ferry Tonageli was carrying 40 passengers when it went down at 1930 IST in high seas and bad weather off a stretch of coastline known as "The Brazilian Saint Tropez", said a media report.
