Nov 15: World champion Marcus Gronholm has established what could be a winning advantage on the Rally of Great Britain.

What could be the defining moment of the rally happened early on Friday morning when Gronholm's arch-rival and team-mate, Richard Burns, ran off the road and damaged his car.
The Englishman lost more than a minute and a half in the incident on the rally's third stage, the first run through Trawscoed.

Gronholm had taken the lead on the first of Friday's stages, the tricky run through the Brechfa forest, but he was only 0.5 seconds quicker than Burns.

But after Burns' error gifted him a cushion of 30 seconds over his closest rival, Gronholm extended his lead with an impressive fastest time through stage five.
He leads Subaru's Petter Solberg by 38.5secs, with Ford's Markko Martin a further two seconds adrift with two of Friday's stages still to run.
