Chennai, Sept 01: Indian motor-racing star Karun Chandhok came up with an impressive performance securing the pole position, fastest lap and two second-place finishes at the legendary Spa Circuit in Belgium in the 19th and 20th rounds of the British Formula 3 Championship (scholarship class). According to a release by the JK Tyres, Chandhok's sponsor, the 19-year-old was one of the few drivers on the grid making his first visit to the 4.3 mile circuit in the middle of the Ardennes Forest. He finished second behind the winner Wrnesto Viso, in both the races and continued to occupy the second spot in the overall positions for the championship with 267.5 points. Steven Kane of England leads the championship with 270.5 and Viso with 267 is on the third spot. Bureau Report
