Morena, Jan 09: BJP would not project anyone as a chief ministerial candidate before the next assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, party's state unit chief Kailash Joshi said today. "Neither Union Minister Uma Bharti nor anyone else will be projected as the chief ministerial candidate in the campaign for the polls," Joshi told a press conference here.
The party had always followed the practice of elected MLAs choosing the chief minister and it would happen this time also, he said.
On state BJP General Secretary Kaptan Singh Solanki's reported statement to media at Jabalpur that someone may be projected as the chief ministerial candidate, Joshi said "he (Solanki) had been misquoted by the press". Bureau Report
