Madurai, May 27: Investigators probing the recent murder of former DMK minister T Kiruttinan have claimed that there was some "positive developments" in the probe.
Police said that Kiruttinan was murdered by a gang who had come on a motorcycle and added that the actual number of persons involved in the crime was yet to be ascertained.

The nature of injuries on the body of Kiruttinan had confirmed the involvement of some professional killers, they said.
Police said they have confirmed that some of the suspected killers stayed in a lodge in the city on May 19, the day before the murder took place. The investigations so far had not ruled out the possibility of some DMK men in the murder, they said.
