Chennai, June 30: RSS and the Seer of Kanchi Mutt, Jayendra Saraswathi held almost the same views on the Ayodhya issue, RSS spokesman Ram Madhav said today. "We both sail almost together. This is one of the outcome of our meeting with Sankaracharya", he told reporters here. Earlier in the day, he along with the RSS chief K S Sudhershan had called on the Seer. On the meeting with the Sankaracharya, he said that they tried to understand the essence of the latest proposals of the seer during the meeting. Denying that the Prime Minister A B Vajpayee had a role in the latest proposals of Sankaracharya, Madhav said at some point of time the Centre and the VHP had to come into the picture.
He said there was no difference of opinion between the VHP and the Sankaracharya on solving the Ayodhya tangle.
