Dehradun, Oct 20: Former Uttaranchal minister Harak Singh Rawat, who got a repreive after the DNA test in connection with his alleged involvement in a rape case was found negative, has charged some politicians, the then chief secretary and police chief as the main conspirators for implicating him and tarnishing his image. Rawat, who met the Congress high command after the DNA test result, told news agencies that he had called both the bureaucrats in the office of the senior cabinet minister Indira Hridayesh two days before the issue was raised in the state assembly to enquire into the reality of the victim jenny's claim that he fathered her child.


"But proper action was not taken by the authorities at that time", he said adding if the action was initiated on her serious charges, the flutter in the state assembly and elsewhere could have been avoided.
Rawat who has filed a case of defamation and conspiracy against jenny and others, however, said if she revealed the names of the conspirators publically he could withdraw the case.
