Gaya, Sept 17: A five-member railway inquiry team headed by commissioner of railway safety, Eastern circle, Mahesh Chandra on Monday recorded statements of 60 persons, including the driver and guard of the ill-fated Rajdhani Express that derailed on last Monday. Commissioner of railway safety, Eastern circle, Kolkata, Mahesh Chandra said here that the inquiry team, besides recording the statement about the cause and nature of derailment, would also go into details of the medicare provided to the injured by the state government and the railways at different hospitals in the state.
He said that Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Magadh range, N C Dhondhiyal and Superintendent of Police, Auranagabad, Sunil Kumar Jha would also be quizzed on the matter.

The railway safety commissioner said that the commission would submit its report at the shortest possible time but refused to specify the time period.
