London, Aug 27: Dependable Rahul Dravid is keen to spend a second season playing cricket in Scotland provided the BCCI permits him.
"If it's possible I would definitely like to come back next year," he said.
Asked about his future in scotland, he said, "Everyone has been very friendly and made me feel very welcome. But obviously a lot of things depend on the international season next year."
"I have to get permission from the Board of Control for Cricket in India who I am contracted to. All things considered, if it's possible I would definitely like to come back next year," he told a television channel. Dravid, who has to play two more matches for the Scottish Saltires, has spent three months in Scotland. The Indian star has played in nine matches to date, raking up three centuries and two fifties.
He made 69 in the win against Sussex, although the Saltires' three early-season wins came before the 30-year-old joined them.
Dravid said, "In spite of the hurdles that they face the Saltires have shown they can compete with the professional teams." Bureau Report
