Mumbai, Oct 30: A witness today informed a special court that in his presence police had transcribed the script of a telephonic talk between film producer Nasim Rizvi and Pakistan-based gangster Chhota Shakeel in the case of alleged nexus of Bollywood with the underworld. The telephonic conversation was recorded by police on November 2, 2000, he informed designated Judge A P Bhangale. He is the 36th witness to depose in this case. Four others have turned hostile while the rest have supported the prosecution. About 30 more witnesses are expected to be examined. The trial is conducted by prosecutor Rohini Salian. The talk between Rizvi and Shakeel focussed on film ‘chori chori chupke chupke.’ Shakeel informed Rizvi that the presenter of the film had sent him an agreement on sharing of profits in this venture. The gangster warned Rizvi to ensure that they got equal shares in the sale proceeds of the film.
Rizvi told Shakeel in the alleged conversation that the film was a great item and in so far as the box office collections were concerned sky was the limit for ‘chori chori chupke chupke.’


Rizvi also told Shakeel that his image and esteem will rise after the release of the film.

In a related development, the court directed a doctor of Bombay hospital to submit tomorrow a report on condition of Rizvi who has been hospitalised for treatment of spondylitis.
