New Delhi: Television actress, Pratyusha Banerjee, who stormed the small screen industry in 'Balika Vadhu' shocked her fans with the sudden news of her death on April 1, 2016. While many thought it to be a death hoax, soon it came to light that the actress has allegedly committed suicide.
In the midst of several controversies, now it has been reported by TOI that her parents Soma and Shankar Banerjee have written to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to ensure that justice is carried out. The parents feel that Pratyusha's boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, is behind their daughter's death, and that there's more than what meets the eye, hinting at a possible murder rather than a mere suicide.
The letter mentions that the case be given to case to the 'most premier investigation agency' to ensure justice, reportedly. Also, it states, Pratyusha, who was 24-year-old came in contact with Rahul Raj Singh last June who within days 'entrapped her in his love game'. "On the pretext of celebrating her birthday last August, Rahul demanded Rs 2 lakh from us and has been harassing her mentally and physically and reduced her bank balance to zero a day before her murder”.
The report mentions that in the letter, it has been clearly stated that Pratyusha's mother had informed the police about the alleged foul play in her daughter's death. However, since she didn't know Marathi, the language of the FIR, Soma had no clue that the cops had registered it as a case of suicide on April 1 and not murder.
Rajnath Singh has reportedly assured them of justice and timely action.
