New Delhi: Desi girl Priyanka Chopra recently came back to Mumbai after wrapping up her work commitments in the West, attended a promotional event of her first Bhojpuri production, and it was there she was quizzed over the ongoing battle between the CBFC and 'Udta Punjab'.

PeeCee without mincing any words lent her support to the makers of the venture. Pinkvilla.com quoted her as saying, “Our forefathers achieved freedom of speech and expression for us after a long struggle… Creativity should not be stopped in democracy”.

Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court on Thursday pulled up Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) over the controversy surrounding upcoming Bollywood release 'Udta Punjab'.
